the Fourth.

Hi, my name is Lauren, and I'm the founder of 'the Fourth.' (Handmade Couture). Originally, I'm from a small suburb on the outskirts of Mackay, QLD, where I spent my childhood riding horses and completing most of my schooling.

I've always had the dream of starting my own business since I was very young. I've tried diving into the world of business several times in my life, but I've faced struggles each time. Now, I've found my niche and created something very special that's close to my heart.

The inspiration for this business comes from my mum (Kazza). She was the most amazing and loving woman, incredibly creative with her hands. Sadly, she lost her battle to stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer in 2019.

'the Fourth.' is named in memory of my mum, born on the 4th of June 1971. She was an incredible artist who crafted some amazing pieces during her time on this earth. One particular piece that stands out in this business is the beautiful horse sketch, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci which is the essence of 'the Fourth.'

I wanted to create something that could make a difference in this world, even if it's just a small contribution. I handcraft and design the majority of my products here in Australia, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them. I'll always be grateful for every order, big or small, that comes through my business. I hope to make my mum proud, knowing that her artwork and memory are the sole identity of something beautiful. I aspire to utilize this platform not only for selling my handmade pieces but also for raising awareness about this dreadful disease, aiming to create a future where we can support those currently facing it and work towards a cure.
